What do property heating engineers do during a boiler service?

• Our engineers inspect the installation visually and carry out the tightness test procedure.

• Boiler electric fuse and socket will be checked

• On the condensing boilers, trap will be removed and cleaned

• Boiler flue way will be cleaned if possible

• Our engineer inspect the boiler and controls to make sure they are operating safely and correctly

• The inspection includes checking of the boiler for corrosion and leaks

• During the service boiler casing will be removed to check the functioning of the main components.

• A gas pressure will be tested to make sure the boiler is operating accordance with the manufacturers instruction and data plate.

• A boiler gas rate will be carried out and will be compared with the manufacturer instruction.

• Boiler flueing will be checked visually and emission will be tested with the gas flue analyser to make sure there is no unsafe emission.

• The boiler parts including burner , fan will be cleaned if necessary ,

• The boiler sealing such as combustion seal and case seal will be checked .

• Boiler , system pressure will be checked if necessary , and expansion vessel will be represurised if required.

• At the end of service the engineer will leave the boiler check list and certificate, with all the relevant information you need, at the property
